After a lengthy career in computer technology and sales, I started my real estate career in 1995 in the upper Midwest. There I worked with a diverse group of Buyers and Sellers with properties ranging from residences, to lakeshore, to hunting land, to farms and small businesses.
Today I enjoy helping Buyers and Sellers with properties in Sun City and environs of Georgetown,Texas. I came to know this area in 2003 when my husband and I moved to Sun City from Minnesota (clearly an easy decision to make!). What they say about Texans is true – they are friendly, wear boots occasionally, and say “Y’all” a lot. Those in the Austin area also flash a funny “horn” sign (forefinger and pinkie extended) and yell “Hook Em Horns” at the first sight of burnt orange.
Here I use my experience working with those buying or selling the following types of properties.
Retirement Homes - my experience living in Sun City and knowing the variety of 55+ communities in the area gives you a realistic look on the lifestyles available at different price points.
Move-up or Downsize Homes – my experience focuses on getting the most value from the home being sold and/or getting the most value in the home being bought.
Estate Homes – my experience with families needing to sell inherited properties strives to makes this as stressless a process as possible.
Distressed Homes – there is always a solution to this situation; my experience will suggest the best solution available and help get it done.
Residential Investment Homes – my experience in acquisition, rehabbing, renting, and resale helps the investor find the property that fits the investment goals.
While not working with clients, our 2 Welch Corgis (mother Dottie and son Baxter) help me get exercise and helped me learn about the state as Baxter competed in dog shows in cities all around Texas in order to qualify as a Champion (he finally made it!). Living in Sun City, one of the premier and most extensive 55+ communities in the U.S., gives me easy access to golf, computer/technology classes, swimming, hiking, Pilates, book club, yadayadayada (you get it…). One can be quite self-sufficient here, but travel always beckons – cruises out of Galveston, South Padre Island beaches in the Fall, and excursions to Colorado or Wisconsin or Minnesota for respite during the summer.
